Sahastrakund Waterfall

Sahastrakund waterfall is situated on the boundary of Marathwada and Vidarbha region. One part of waterfall area is covered under Umarkhed Tahsil of District where as other part comes under Kinwat Tahsil of Nanded (Marathwada Region) district. This waterfall is 45.5 K.M. away from Umarkhed where as 161 K.M. away from district head quarter. Large number of people visits this waterfall in rainy season. Tourists enjoy the water falling from 30-40 feet, small drops spread over entire tourists and sound of water give immense happiness to the visitors.

There is a beautiful garden on the bank of waterfall. Various types of butterflies attracts visitors toward them. Large number of Tourists from adjacent Adilabad district in Telangana state visits regularly. Panchmukhi Mahadeo temple is also there to attract pilgrims.

Two days holidays in rainy season are sufficient to enjoy this area with various types of birds and wild animals.

Nearest Airport is Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Airport, Nanded is 97.5 K.M. Away. Alternate route is Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur witch is 291 K.M. away from Sahstrakund Waterfall.

Nearest Railway station is at Nanded on Central line 103 K.M. Away.

By Road

From Umarkhed 45.5 K.M. and from Yavatmal, District Head Quarter is 161 K.M. via NH 361.
